Charters

The following charter boats are available for off-shore fishing trips on Eastern Lake Ontario. Listed are those charter boats that operate out of the area from Mexico Bay to North Sandy Pond. Most charters offer trips for chinook and coho salmon, lake and brown trout and steelhead, and operate from about May until October.

Listed are only charter captains which are licensed by New York State as of September 2013.

The professionalism of charter captains can vary significantly. Questions you may wish to ask a captain before booking a charter include: (1) whether they are licensed by the United States Coast Guard; (2) their years of experience; (3) whether they operate full-time or only part-time; and (4) the duration of the trip (and whether it will end early if you “limit out”).
