Hot Flashers and Teasers

On this page I'm going to show you the flashers that I go to the most. These flasher and teaser combos take 90% of my fish. If you're just starting out using cutbait, these are the flashers and teasers you should have in your box. There are times when I use other color flasher and teasers, but the ones below are my most used combos.

This combo is the all purpose one. I use it in all light conditions and at all depths. Either head works well. A 60" leader to the head with or without twinkies.

This one works good in deep bright conditions. 80ft or deeper. Anything above that and this didn't produce good. This is a custom taped blade. Either head works good with a 60-70" leader. 1 or 2 twinkies helps.

Here's another custom taped blade, same technique as the above blade.

This is a flasher I use under bright conditions. Shallow or deep it's a top producer when the sun is high. Either head works well with a 60-70" leader with at least 1 twinkie.

This is a Salmon Slasher flasher. It's the imfamous Blue Angel. Works good in bright conditions at most depths. Again I use a 60-70" leader with or without twinkies.

This is a TriFlash flasher that is good all day at all depths. I run a 50-70" leader with either 1 twinkie or no twinkies. Run it deeper than the other rigs and down the middle. That produced the best for me.

Here's another TriFlash. I use this one early in the morning or under low light conditions. It also works good when fish are higher in the water column. Same leader lengths as above.

The first 4 flashers are O'ki Big Shooters. They can be seen at www.okitackle.com. The next one is a Salmon Slasher. And the last 2 are from TriFlash, which can be seen at www.triflash.com. The teasers are all from Rhys Davis co. and they can be reached at (250)-474-9322, ask for Tom Davis. Some of the heads have been custom taped and I have added 3D eyes from Witchcraft Tape co.

Use these combos at the right depth and speed and these are about all you need to take Salmon in the Great Lakes.
