Fishing Reports From "Team Total Chaos"

5/5/06; I find that I just don't have the time to do reports anymore so click the link for a good up to date report courtesy of ATOMMIK. http://www.atommiktrollingflies.com/reports1.htm

4/21/06; With no rain and no run off, the usual shoreline fishing isn't happening. You need to go deeper this spring. Try 30-60fow and run lines from the surface down to 20ft. Run Smithwiks, Rebel Fastracs and J-7 and J-9 Rapalas (with a splitshot) off the boards. Try Michigan Stingers or similar smaller spoons off the riggers. Keep the board lines back 100-150ft and the rigger lines back50-75ft. For spoons try orange, orange/copper, frog, and watermelon. For sticks try black/silver/orange, Perch, firetiger and orange/black dots. 2.3-2.5mph has been a good speed. There's been an occasional Coho being caught as well. Mexico Bay has been producing some fish (from the Little Salmon River up to the plant) and there have been some fish taken out in front of Oswego. Fairhaven was having some good action as well.

4/9/06; Here's what I know so far. There's been some decent Brown fishing around Fairhaven, the Oswego Harbor, the High Rocks and over around Selkirk to the Big Salmon River. Jr. Thundersticks in black/silver, met. green, blue/silver have been working. Small J-7 and J-9 Rapalas in the same colors are working as well. Small spoons like the Michigan Stinger in various colors are working off the riggers. Pull the sticks on the boards. The water has been from 42-47 degrees so far. There's not a lot of water color so use longer than usual leads. Trolling speeds has been from 1.8-2.3mph. There's been some Browns inside the harbor if the lake is rough. The Browns have been mostly of the 3-5lb. variety but there have been a few bigger in the 7-10lb range.
