Report: Took an afternoon trip with my brother. Got to the river about 1300 (1 PM for non-military types). Fished for an hour with nothing. Then all heck broke loose. My brother and I hooked up almost simultaneously. So close in-fact that we thought we had crossed lines and hooked the same fish. We didn't and landed both of them at the same time. Nice 6-7lbs hens. Soon after my brother hooked up again. It feels like a salmon he said. No way was my response but sure enough he landed a nice 10lb male Coho who looked a bit worn. One more steelhead, around 9lbs, rounded out a nice 3 hours of fishing. Red, Red, Red (Splat) all I have to say about choice of colors.

Report: The kids were off from school so we headed up to the river. We fished Altmar each day and hooked up each day. I hooked up on my first cast and went 1 for 3 on Thurs. My father went 2 - 3. All Steelies going 7 - 9 lbs. We hooked up each day apporx 5 fish each. The water was very high. My son landed a nice 10lb steelie on a purple estaz. Fish hitting mostly glowbugz in chartreuse.

Report: Fished from 11/9 to 11/12 managed to hook a couple of fish each day. Best days were 11/10 when I went 2 for 5, two others in our group did as well. 11/11 went 1 for 5 with two lost right at my feet. Largest one landed was around 7 or 8 pounds. two of the fish landed on 11/11 were bright fish of about 3 or 4 pounds with a ton of battle. all of the fish were taken on estaz eggs in combo of pale yellow/orange butt or chart./ ornage butt. or on otters real eggs with estaz butt in same color combos. size 10/12 egg hooks. the main thing was keeping ht efish out of the min current if they got to it even small ones they were lost.

Report: Fished one of the tribs Thursday and the upper stretches Sunday. Had a great day Thursday (weather wise) but only managed 0-1. Sunday the weather was tolerable and we went 1 for 3 in our metal hunting. Only fish landed was in the 9-10lb range caught on a Splat. Go small. 12-14 size hooks seem best already.
