Report: Me and a buddy of mine traveled to orwell this morn to find what seemd to be a million people on the creek so we left there and went to trout brook where we found pretty much the same thing. We deceided to go look at sandy creek not really to fish but just to check it out.We saw 2 salmon and a steelhead from the bridge with light fishing pressure. We went back to trout brook to see waht all the fuss was about. We saw a couple people hook up but the crowd definatly out weighed the number of fish. Not worth the trouble of dealing with all the out of staters so we left.We went back to orwell were ive never seen this many people there in my life. The bridge past the public fishing sign easily had 15 people standing there.2 weeks ago when we were at orwell we had all the fish and all the room we wanted.Anyways we went to town of orwell where a lot of it is posted but theres a chunk of state land where the creek runs through so we ended up fishing there and it was great. There was a good amount of fish to keep us busy and the only other person i saw was a guy hunting.

Report: Fished lower fly stretch all days exept for 1 were I proceded to the Bovines and Ellis cove, (what a mistake this was)i think every law that can be broken was from j plugs with weight to people gaffing fish ( snagging ) in the feeder creeks luckily i heard from a friend Dec got the gaffers. These fish will hit a fly I hooked alot of Kings and Cohoes in the mouth when they are in an aggressive state and i know like every one else you also fowl hook them. Also saw alot of people trying to cross at lower fly bridge @1500cfs very dangerious must not like life to much also saw a few people take a Salmon river bath and float for a ways I dont know why they would jepordize there life for a fish, any way good times and alot of fish
in the fly zone( flys pink estaz and blue estaz, comits) all worked well for me. Stealies soon cant wait be back @the end of the month.

Report:
Spent three days up on the SR last week and had great fishing all three days. All three days brought different condition to the river. Wed. the river was running 750 and clear, it was sunny and warm. Fish were extremely aggressive from early morning to early afternoon. Landed 14 salmon. The salmon were taking almost at will. Had to jump around alot for the steelie's but hooked up 5 and landed 3. Nothing beats fresh steal. Thur. the fish were still aggressive. The challenge was the weather. Strong wind and lots of rain made the elements a little tougher but the fishing was still great. Again, lot of salmon, including a nice pod of coho's late morning. Found two stealie's landed one. Fri. was the real challenge. The water was between 1200-1500(depending on what report you read) Still a good number of fish being hooked up througout the day. Everybody had some trouble landing fish. Hooked one monster stealie before I left but got off. Overall great fishing with lots a aggressive fish.

Report: The rule book just states the sale of lead sinkers is prohibited in NY. However with that said, you should avoid using lead as it can sicken birds that mistake the lead for food or grit.
