Report: While other fishermen in my area are praying for safe ice and/or sping I made my usual seven hour run to fish for steelhead in the Salmon River. Arrived at first light Saturday morning and hiked down to Hemlock Hole, hooked up twice but lost both fish after short battles. Covered a lot of water during the mid day with no luck, went to Schoolhouse Pool around 3:30 and took atvantage of the other fishermen not covering all thier water and consentrating fish where I could get to them - had four hook ups within an hour landing three up to about 10 pounds. Fish Sunday morning after they brought the river up from 335 to 1800, had two hook ups and landed one 12 pounder before leaving at noon time for the seven hour trip home.
