Minutes Proposed LOSA Calendar for 2002 March 16th, LOSA MEETING Fairhaven Legion. Special LOSA guests, Fran, Dan, and Les from the DEC. April 20th, LOSA MEETING and steam cleanup Fishing in the morning at Oak Orchard, to be followed by a Stream Cleanup. Then in the afternoon our monthly meeting at either Carlton Grill or Black North Inn. May 18th, Stream Cleanup and possible education day at Irondiquoit Creek June/ July Plans for stream restorations and improvements at Irondiquoit Creek or Sandy Creek. August Monroe County Parks have asked LOSA to present a full day of fishing seminars. September National Hunting and Fishing Day in Altmar for more LOSA educational seminars to the general public October, November, December - typical 3rd Saturday of the month meetings.
Stream Restorations throughout the year. Mike Ackroyd will be looking in to the opportunity for funding and resources proved by Monroe County for stream restorations and Improvements. 1/2 Ton Trucks and Willow Waddles for bank stability are potential resources that we may have for any work we wish to do. Need to identify major areas of Irondiquoit Creek and possibly Sandy Creek where our efforts would be beneficial. All must be approved by Monroe County. Dave Agness will also be looking into contacting the Hamlin Bridge landowner depositing boulders and/ or tree cleanups.
Regarding LOSA Membership and Account Status - Treasury Reports 14-15 members currently. For all those interested in membership who have not paid yearly dues. Send Check or Money Order to Dave Agness 38 Rhea Crescent Rochester, NY 14615 Shirts are being distributed for membership. Current Account Balance $210 Paperwork for Tax Free LOSA account is in the works.
New Business Suggestion made by Toby Wood for website changes. Currently we are being hosted by FishSalmonRiver. We should have our own Domain Name ie. FishLOSA.com and also a web host. A formal proposal will be written by Toby for the next meeting, along with suggested web hosts and fees. Meeting adjourned. -------------------------------------------------------
